Your goddamn quick intro to offshore Marketing BPS

See, I'm tired of all these mind-numbingly basic introductions to Philippine outsourcing.

The 1950's Disney-prince buyer persona of this kind of dumb, Awareness-level marketing qualifies the following as a thought-process:

“Ooh, what is this rocket science called outsourcing and offshoring that I have never even heard of before, because I just crawled out of my underground bomb shelter where I've been hiding since the Nixon era?”
“Ooh, really, India—the land of Kama Sutra—is a leader in this thingamajig called outsourcing?”
“Ooh, Philippines—never heard of it, what is it—like a knockoff brand of Reese's?”
“Ooh, literacy in my potential vendor's country of operations. Yes, that has a very direct impact on my business process outsourcing and IT project—sure!”
“Colleges, universities, and graduates—certainly. They're all a major part of The Butterfly Effect on my offshoring vendor selection—great! Tell me more of these citationless, broad, sweeping, macroeconomic rhetoric.”
“You sell outsourced graphic design, animation, and web development services from the Philippines? That means you have absolutely no self-serving intention in telling me about the lower attrition, higher quality, and better ‘Western-accent English’ in a Philippine-based BPO and IT offshoring company. I wholeheartedly accept your unbiased analysis of the advantages of your particular Philippine outsourcing firm over your Indian competitors.”

I mean—MAN!—where do we get off on insulting buyers' intelligence?

So in this wham-bam primer on Philippine creative services outsourcing that I wrote (sans the infographic)...

Creative Services and Web Development Outsourcing in the Philippines

We can sit here, pontificate, and pretend that: A 200-FTE creative services outsourcing firm based in Cebu, Philippines would be a credible, unbiased source of the merits of outsourcing to the Philippines, particularly to Cebu (not the capital, Manila), instead of India.

...I briefly went all meta on the highly diluted premise that domain pseudo-experts deludedly find convincing to prospects, before I lunged straight at the jugular where truly nuanced, informed buyers thrive:

  • Most creative services buyers (77 percent) are part of their companies' Marketing, communications, or similar departments.

  • The Philippines is in the pioneering phase of Marketing business process services (BPS).

  • In fact, Marketing BPS is one of the Philippines' faster growing outsourcing segments.

  • And in the Philippines, Cebu is the only other Top 10 outsourcing destination.

Cebu, Philippines for smart buyers of offshore creative services? Excuse me, that's not just due to generic literacy rates or basic claims of accent-neutral English.
